FAQ

How do I order a Chocolate Fountain?

You can either email us at letstalkchocolate@gmail.com or call us at 519-860-1666 or 519-317-0717. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

When should I order?

Order now!  :)  All you need is your deposit, and due to limited bookings on a day, we do not want to miss you!  The sooner we know your needs the better we can meet them!

Who sets up and runs the fountain?

We look after the set up and tear down.  We will arrive about an hour before your event and ensure that everything is running and set up according to your requests.  Our Attendant will be well dressed, professional and social.

How do I pay?

Currently we can accept cash or cheque.  We require a 50% deposit at time of ordering.  Full payment must be received within 2 weeks of the actual date. Contracts signed with deposit.

What areas do you cover?

We cover southwestern Ontario centered out of London.  All package prices are upto a 25km distance from London and anywhere further will have a small fee (milage/gas).  If too far from our location we certainly can refer you to a high quality chocolate fountain company in your area.  But try us first!

What if I want more Chocolate or the Fountain for longer than the package states?

Let us know when you order the package if you are expecting things to run longer.  The fountain/attendant  is $50.00 an hour and the chocolate runs $12.00 per extra 2 pounds.

Is your company registered?

We are a registered Ontario business and fully insured.
Each On site Attendant has taken the Ontario Food Handlers Course and received their Certificate.

Is your chocolate nut-free?

The chocolate we use is nut free, however, since it is not made by us, nor can we control what is dipped or dropped in the fountain - we cannot legally guarantee 100% that it will be nut free.  We ask that those with nut allergies take precautions.

What do I need to have?

You need to have a sturdy table near a grounded electrical outlet (3 prong outlet) - 110V.  We provide the napkins, plates, skewers and holders for the skewers and decorations for the table as well as the table cloth.

What about coloured chocolate?

For coloured chocolate, please let us know when you order!  Cost is $2.50 per pound.

All About Chocolate

Picture
Recent studies have shown that chocolate - dark chocolate especially - is healthy and rich in antioxidants.  Like red wine, chocolate contains phenols, a powerful antioxidant.  This has been shown to help prevent LDL cholesterol (the stuff you don't want).
Antioxidants are a naturally occuring substance and help to protect cells from free radical damage.  This damage is caused from exposure to oxygen and have been linked to cancer at its worst.  Strengthing and boosting your antioxidants helps to protect your cells!

The antioxidants found in chocolate are members of the phenol group called the flavonoids.  Flavonoids help to slow the oxidizing of the LDL cholesterol and helps to prevent further harm to the body.  These antioxidants are known to have a preservative effect on the chocolate itself and helps to keep it fresh longer.
Studies are still being conducted on the direct effects of chocolate on heart disease and cancer, though preliminary data shows that antioxidants have helped to reduce incidence of these illnesses.  A balanced diet with fruits, grains and vegetables is important, but so is adding chocolate to the mix!
